Workforce scheduling and attendance software

The right people, in the right place, at the right time. Build rosters, publish them with a review first, and let people swap, give away and apply for open shifts. Credentials are checked before anyone is assigned.

Scheduling goes wrong when the roster, the credentials and the attendance record live in different places. Kinetic VOC keeps them in one connected system, so a roster knows who is qualified, attendance knows what was scheduled, and pay knows what was approved.

Build rosters for posts and shifts, review the changes before you publish, and let people ask for swaps, give shifts away, apply for open shifts and request leave. Everything a supervisor decides is recorded against the person who decided it.

What you can do with workforce scheduling software

  • Rosters from draft to publish

Plan posts and shifts, see which days are filled, short or uncovered, and review exactly what changed before people are told.

  • Swaps, open shifts and leave

People request a swap, give a shift away, apply for an open shift or ask for leave. Supervisors approve in one place and everyone is notified.

  • Credentials that are checked, not just stored

Licences, certificates and training have expiry dates and warnings. Someone whose credential has lapsed is blocked from being assigned to work that needs it.

  • Attendance as recorded evidence

Start and end times are recorded with who recorded them and how. Corrections are separate, attributed entries, never silent edits.

  • Reviews for missing punches and no-shows

A missing start, a missing end or a no-show opens a review case, so nothing is paid or ignored by accident.

  • A live duty board

See who is on duty now, who has started and who has not, so a supervisor can act while the shift is still running.

How it works

  1. Set up posts, shifts and requirements

Describe where and when people work and which credentials each post needs.

  2. Roster, review and publish

Fill the roster, check the change review, then publish. People see their shifts at once and can respond.

  3. Record and approve attendance

Record starts and ends, review exceptions, and approve the payable time once. Pay follows from it.

At a glance

  • Rosters from draft to publish, with a change review
  • Shift swaps, open-shift applications and leave
  • Credential and qualification tracking with expiry warnings
  • Attendance, dispatch board and performance appraisals

Questions about this area

Can staff see their own shifts?

Yes. Each person sees their own shifts, open shifts they may apply for, and their own requests, and nobody else’s.

What stops an unqualified person being scheduled?

Credentials carry expiry dates. A lapsed or missing credential blocks the assignment, with the reason shown to the person scheduling.

Does attendance feed payroll?

Yes. Payroll is calculated from approved attendance, so the hours that were approved are the hours that are paid.
